TOMS is looking for a Social Media Specialist to be the community manager on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat and other emerging platforms for the global TOMS brand. This person will be responsible for the daily management and publishing of content. This individual will also need to partner with other teams to assist in creation of original content. It’s important that he/she understand digital and social media best practices, have an understanding of insights and analytics, and be aware of competitor and industry standards. Communication and collaboration with other channel specialists on the team is critical to success. All activities and efforts should build up to the goal of creating interest and demand for the TOMS brand, mission, and products. This person should be extremely organized and have the ability to prioritize multiple requests at once in a fast-paced environment. In addition to being someone who is passionate about the TOMS brand and the One for One movement, we are looking for an early-adopter, an inspirational leader, and a driven contributor.

Essential Functions

  • Create, manage, proofread, and publish a high volume of daily content for TOMS global social channels through our social media management tools, including evening and weekend posts

  • Review and report on social media trends monthly to ensure TOMS remains best-in-class for social media

  • Work with the social media content team to produce and optimize content on a regular basis, and meet deadlines that preserve the editorial calendar

  • Collaborate both within the department and cross functionally to develop the best content and stories possible

  • Constantly optimize content as measured by social engagement, sentiment, traffic to TOMS.com, and community growth

  • Lead all efforts surrounding the TOMS Global Blog including development and execution of the editorial calendar, drive updates to the platform and collaborate with cross functional teams to fulfill the storytelling of the TOMS movement.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience in a social media, community management, copy writing, journalism, or other relevant role

  • Experience working with social media community management and monitoring tools such as Sprinklr, Radian6, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Global and multiple language experience a plus

  • Past experience managing social media for a consumer product

  • Extreme interest in the social media space

Special Requirements

  • Proficient in Facebook and Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ (and Google+ Hangouts)

  • Experience using social media and customer service management tools, notably Sprinklr and Salesforce

  • Strong written skills and excellent grammar

  • Self-starter and drive to excel

  • Photography, illustration, graphic design or other artistic interests
